Start Of Spartans Season Postponed Due To Weather

The start of the 2022 season for the ROCORI Spartans was postponed during the week of April 11-15 due to weather in the area, pushing back the start of the new year for the Spartans.

On Tuesday, April 12, ROCORI was supposed to open the year on the road against Sauk Rapids, but that game was postponed and rescheduled to Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m. in Sauk Rapids. On Thursday, April 14, the Spartans home opener against Willmar at the Cold Spring Baseball Park was also postponed, with the make-up date for that game yet to be announced.

With the hope of better weather starting the week of April 18, ROCORI hopes to finally begin the 2022 season with a trio of home games in Cold Spring. Pending weather, the Spartans will host St. Cloud at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19. That game will be followed with home contests against Alexandria at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 and Detroit Lakes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22.
