ROCORI Comes Back In Walk-Off Win

COLD SPRING — ROCORI saved the best for last on May 15 against Red Wing on Alumni Night at the Cold Spring Baseball Park.
After tying the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, ROCORI walked it off in the bottom of the seventh inning to come back and take down Red Wing, 3-2.
Cal Heying, who drove in the game-winning run on a single in the bottom of the seventh, led the way for the Spartans by finishing 3-for-4 with a double, steal, RBI and two runs scored. Blake Kelly added two hits, while Zander Folkertz tallied one hit and one RBI in the win.
Max Fredin shut things down on the mount, pitching all seven innings and earning a complete-game win. Fredin gave up just three hits, two earned runs and three walks to go along with seven strikeouts.
With the win, ROCORI moves to 10-8 overall on the season and remains at 3-6 in Central Lakes Conference play. Next up for the Spartans is Bryce Day at 4 p.m. on May 16 in Cold Spring.
