ROCORI 10-Runs Morris on Bryce Holthaus Day

COLD SPRING — The ROCORI Spartans concluded a weekend full of baseball with a battle against Morris on May 16 on Bryce Holthaus Day at the Cold Spring Baseball Park.


ROCORI celebrated the day in a big way, exploding for 11 runs in the first inning to cruise to a 14-4 victory in five innings in Cold Spring.


Leading the way for the Spartans at the plate was Nolan VanLoy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI, Max Fredin, who went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, and Cal Heying, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Blake Kelly, Zander Folkerts, Cooper Notch and Charlie Upgren each added one RBI for ROCORI.


Logan Adams earned a complete-game win on the mound, pitching all five innings and giving up just five hits, three earned runs and striking out four.


With the win, ROCORI improved to 11-8 overall on the season. The Spartans now take on the final week of the regular season, hosting Sauk Rapids on May 19 before hitting the road to play Sartell on May 20 and hosting Little Falls in the regular season finale on May 21.
