Rocori Sweeps Fergus Falls to Remain Undefeated


RICHMOND -- The Rocori Spartans baseball team continued their hot start to the 2018 season on Saturday, sweeping Fergus Falls at the Richmond Baseball Park.

Rocori took down Fergus Falls 10-0 in six innings in Game 1 and _-0 in Game 2 to sweep the Central Lakes Conference doubleheader.

In Game 1, Dylan Tebrake led the way at the plate while Eli Emerson led the way on the mound for the Spartans.

Tebrake finished 1-for-1 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Emerson pitched five shutout innings to get the win, giving up one hit, four walks and striking out six.

Tylor Schroeder finished 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored, Jack Steil went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and one RBI and both Brady Klehr and Matthew Waletzko each finished with one hit and one RBI for the Spartans.

In Game 2, Jack Steil led the way at the plate and Brady Klehr led the way on the mound for Rocori.

Steil finished 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Klehr pitched five shutout innings to get the win, giving up two hits, three walks and striking out five.

Klehr went 1-for-4 with three RBI, Dylan Tebrake finished 2-for-3 with one RBI, Dalton Thelen went 2-for-2 with two runs and Mason Primus drove in two runs.

With the pair of victories, Rocori improves to 4-0 in the conference and 4-0 overall on the season, currently sitting atop the Central Lakes Conference standings.

Next up for the Spartans is a CLC doubleheader with St. Cloud Apollo on Tuesday, May 1. The location of the two games has still being determined.
